I provide psychological evaluations in English and Spanish for select immigration matters, including extreme hardship cases, VAWA, U Visas, and T Visas. The purpose of the evaluation is to carefully document psychological and emotional factors relevant to your case so your attorney can include the report as part of the documentation submitted in your immigration matter.

What to Expect

An immigration evaluation is a detailed process. It generally includes 3 to 5 hours of interviews, assessments, and documentation. The interview can be completed in one session or divided into 2 or 3 sessions depending on your needs and availability.

After the interviews are complete, I spend approximately 8 to 10 additional hours analyzing the information and preparing the report. The completed report is generally available within 2 to 3 weeks after the interview process is completed.

Before we begin, you will receive an email from TherapyNotes with a link to create your portal account and complete the required paperwork.

I will also need any documentation that can help me understand and document your case, such as personal statements, police reports, witness letters, medical records, or other relevant records. Please provide these documents before the first interview so I can prepare appropriately.

Fee & Reservation

The fee for an immigration psychological evaluation is $3,500.

If more than one family member needs to be evaluated, there may be an additional fee based on the additional time required. Any additional cost will be discussed with you before the work is completed, so you know what to expect.

A non-refundable $500 retainer is required to reserve your evaluation date. The retainer is applied toward the total fee. Your appointment is not reserved until the retainer has been received.

I prefer to receive full payment on the day of the first interview. If you need to divide the payment, the remaining balance must be paid in full by the final interview. The completed evaluation is released once the balance has been paid in full.
